Common questions
Is this an official IIT Kharagpur tool?
No. CVBuddy is made by two students. It is not run by the institute, the CDC, or the placement cell, and it is not endorsed by them.
Does it replace the ERP CV portal?
No. You still submit your CV on the IIT Kharagpur ERP CV portal. CVBuddy is where you write and format it first.
Can other students see my CV?
No. No one other than you can access your CV. Not even us.
Is it free?
You can build and export a CV for free. Some AI formatting features use credits, and the pricing page lists what each one costs.
Does it follow the current CDC format?
We follow the CDC format as we understand it and update it when it changes. Always check your CV on the ERP portal before you submit it.
